Altstadt is Salzburg's UNESCO crown jewel and Austria's most prestigious address outside Vienna's Innere Stadt

The Altstadt is the historic core of Salzburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. Dominated by the Festung Hohensalzburg, the Getreidegasse, and the Salzburger Dom, it is one of Austria's most iconic neighbourhoods. Property here is ultra-premium and extremely scarce. The area is pedestrianised, with world-class dining, boutique shopping, and cultural landmarks at every turn. Green space is limited but the Salzach riverbanks and Mönchsberg cliffs compensate.
