Nonntal lies directly south of the Altstadt, beneath the Nonnberg Abbey (Austria's oldest nunnery, featured in The Sound of Music). The district transitions from the dense old-town fabric to a more residential character towards Morzg. Excellent walkability to the centre, combined with a quieter atmosphere than the tourist-heavy Altstadt. A mix of historic buildings and newer residential projects.
